RAE(V) came to be the name of our Solar Decathlon project, which stood for Renewable Adaptable Environmental Vermont. I designed the logo as a reflection of the concept behind our design with the sun in the background and the silhouette of our outside frame of our building and the inside "box" frame of our building.

Solar Decathlon 2011 - Norwich University
This solar decathlon house was designed to be assembled in 8 hours, under $110,000 with carbonized wood siding, a concept of simple box living space covered with an outdoor envelope (double skin) that serves as a covered functional space and utilizes a 2KW photovoltaic system and solar thermal collectors. Altogether the design allows the home to be self-sustainable and allow the user to sell power back to the grid.
